Selecting different shots that you have collected to tell a story
2) What is elliptical editing?
Elliptical editing allows the viewer to fill in the gaps to save time (eg. showing a person getting on and then off a bus instead of the whole journey)
3) Why are long shots used?
Long shots show where the scene is set.
4) What is 'non diagetic' sound?
A sound that is added in whilst editing the clip, it is a sound that the viewers can hear however the actors couldn't previously.
5) How do we know she is bending down to pick up the ring? (what shots are used and why?)
Close up shot of her as she looks down
Close up of the ring on the floor
We then see her hand pick up the ring
We see a medium close up shot as she stands up again with the ring
The viewer can put these scenes together and evaluate what is going on.
